Our VIP judging panel

These are the incredible judges who will be deciding on the winner of our first ever UK Actors Tweetup short film competition.

And now without further ado, drum roll please, as we announce our VIP panel of judges who’ll be picking a winner from our final line-up:

Gemma Sykes, casting director with Dan Hubbard Casting. Gemma is an Associate alongside Dan Hubbard where she’s worked on Downton Abbey, Chalet Girl, Captain Phillips and more recently Generation Z as a casting director in her own right.

Alex Segal, agent with Cole Kitchenn. Alex represents many well-known clients including….Adam Deacon, Emily Atack, Robert Englund, Nadia Forde, Samantha Womack, Denise Van Outen, Kelly Brook, and Vinnie Jones. Alex spent 4 years working at ARG, one of the UK’s leading talent agencies. He started his agency life at Curtis Brown having previously worked as a Theatre Producer after graduating from The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama.

Roland Moore, screenwriter with the BBC. Roland is an award winning screenwriter. He was creator and lead writer of the popular period drama Land Girls (BBC1). In addition to 2:hrs, he has the following feature films in development or pre-production: The King’s Soldier (biopic period drama), Samuel’s War (a World War One period drama), Enemy Lines (a horror film) and Three Hearts (a co-pro with China)

Bruce Webb, director, is an award-winning director and producer for the screen. He has recently completed directing his second feature film, Social Suicide, a teen thriller starring Jackson Bews, India Eisley and Olivia Hussey. His previous feature film The Be All And End All,  starring Josh Bolt and Neve McIntosh, won a host of awards at International Film Festivals. Bruce currently has numerous feature films in development.

Alberto Lopez, International Director at Variety, overseas business operations outside of the US. He presides over a dynamic sales team that covers the globe. With the magazine since 2001, Alberto is responsible for all aspects of the Variety brand internationally, including marketing, licensing and sponsorship.
